The Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Senior Planning Officer (KMA/SPO/11/25/1). This role is crucial in driving the Authority’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with national policies, and enhancing operational efficiency through research, policy development, and performance management.
💼 Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor the Authority’s Strategic Plan.

Conduct Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of all programs and projects.

Prepare research reports, policy papers, and performance reports.

Assess policy options and make strategic recommendations.
-
Support the development of departmental work plans and performance frameworks.

Coordinate resource mobilization and donor engagement initiatives.

Align organizational strategies with national and county development priorities.

Oversee the preparation of budgets and funding proposals.

Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and interdepartmental coordination.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Development Studies, or Strategic Management.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Planning Officer.

Completed a supervisory course (at least 2 weeks) from a recognized institution.

Proven expertise in proposal development and strategic planning.

Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Membership in a relevant professional body (where applicable).

Proficiency in computer applications.

💰 Remuneration

Basic Salary: Kshs. 89,000 – 205,500
