DIB Bank Kenya Limited (DIBBKE) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Officer – Learning & Development to join its Human Resources team in Nairobi. Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager – Learning to design, implement, and evaluate learning initiatives that enhance staff capability and align with the Bank’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development Strategy

  • Collaborate with departmental heads to identify training needs and support the Bank’s learning strategy.

  • Design, plan, and implement training programs that address skills gaps across the organization.

  • Develop engaging e-learning content for the Knowledge and Learning Management System (KLMS).

Training Coordination & Evaluation

  • Monitor training programs to ensure timely implementation within approved budgets.

  • Design tools to measure training effectiveness, including ROI analysis.

  • Prepare monthly training reports with insights and improvement recommendations.

  • Maintain quality standards and performance metrics for all training initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with accredited institutions, training providers, and regulators such as CBK, KBA, and NITA.

  • Support leadership development programs, coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement activities.

  • Promote a strong learning culture and encourage uptake of e-learning courses.

Job Complexity & Judgment

This role requires high levels of judgment, creativity, and influence. The job holder must navigate:

  • Rapid technological changes in e-learning platforms

  • Regulatory and labor law updates

  • Performance and relationship management across the Bank

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field

  • CHRPK or Higher Diploma in HR

  • CPLP certification is an added advantage

  • Must be a registered member of a recognized HR professional body

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools

  • Ability to design and implement effective training programs

  • Knowledge of banking products and services

Experience

  • At least 5 years of HR experience, preferably within the financial services industry
