What the Role Involves

The Customer Marketing Lead will be responsible for turning deep customer and shopper insights into powerful strategies that strengthen Safaricom’s brand and commercial performance. You will help guide national and regional marketing initiatives while ensuring alignment across teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Using data-backed customer insights to inform strategic plans and touchpoint execution

  • Developing simple, clear customer and channel strategies that drive meaningful action

  • Creating and managing high-impact marketing activities that deliver growth and competitive advantage

  • Building partnerships that boost customer engagement and brand love

  • Collaborating with Segment Marketing, Product teams, and Channels to shape a strong go-to-market approach

  • Leading the execution of marketing plans for your assigned portfolio

  • Delivering high-quality customer programs and assets through the Integrated Activity Planning process

  • Monitoring and evaluating marketing activities to ensure they meet business goals

  • Managing the marketing budget for your assigned channel

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

This role requires strong cross-team collaboration. You will work closely with internal teams, creative agencies, media partners, and retail or distribution partners to execute well-structured marketing programs across multiple channels.

Project Leadership

You will manage key projects end-to-end—ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum return on investment.

Health, Safety & Integrity

Who Can Apply?
