Rose Avenue Group, a leader in logistics and maritime services, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Maritime Services) to oversee ship agency operations in Nairobi. What the Role Involves
The Operations Manager will take full responsibility for managing ship agency activities, staff supervision, and operational efficiency. Key duties include:

Operational Oversight: Develop SOPs, train teams, and optimize workflows to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Client Management: Build strong relationships with key clients and deliver services that meet agreed SLAs.

Port Coordination: Liaise with port authorities, customs, and terminal operators to ensure smooth vessel arrivals and departures.

Financial Accountability: Oversee budgets, billing, and financial reporting while identifying areas for cost-saving.

Risk & Compliance: Ensure safety, compliance with maritime regulations, and foster a culture of security and sustainability.
Qualifications You’ll Need

A Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree/certifications are a plus).

8+ years of ship agency operations experience, covering dry/wet cargoes, offshore, and liner business.

Strong understanding of Kenya’s maritime regulations and port operations.

Proven leadership, financial management, and client relationship skills.
