Standard Bank Group continues to strengthen its financial governance by hiring experienced professionals who can uphold the highest standards of accountability and transparency. One such critical role is the Manager, Internal Financial Control & Regulatory Reporting, based in Nairobi.
This position is designed for finance and accounting professionals with a strong background in IFRS compliance, internal controls, and audit management. The role provides strategic leadership in ensuring that all financial reporting processes across the Group comply fully with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other applicable regulatory requirements.
At the heart of this role is the responsibility to lead and technically execute internal financial control processes. The Manager ensures adherence to the approved Group Internal Financial Control framework while continuously improving and strengthening control capabilities across all legal entities. This involves overseeing quality assurance reviews of finance processes, balance sheet substantiation, and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial data.
Audit coordination is another key responsibility. Acting as the primary point of contact for both internal and external auditors, the Manager ensures timely preparation of audit deliverables, prompt resolution of audit findings, and effective implementation of recommendations. This proactive engagement supports strong governance and promotes a culture of continuous improvement within financial operations.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field, along with a professional certification such as CPA (K) or ACCA. With 5–7 years of experience in external audit and internal financial control design, the successful candidate should demonstrate strong risk identification skills, stakeholder engagement abilities, and a deep understanding of financial governance.
For professionals seeking to advance their careers within a leading financial institution, this role offers both challenge and impact within a dynamic banking environment.
