Jubilee Insurance is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Property Officer in Nairobi. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with a passion for property management, building operations, and tenant satisfaction.

Role Overview
The Assistant Property Officer oversees day-to-day operations of Jubilee-owned buildings. You will ensure buildings are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of occupants while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance.

  • Supervise cleaning, security, waste management, and other facility-related services.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for tenants, addressing complaints and maintaining positive relationships.

  • Manage building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security to ensure efficient operations.

  • Conduct regular inspections, respond to emergencies, and coordinate renovation or remodeling projects.

  • Document all activities, track maintenance needs, and provide reports as required.

Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and internal policies.

  • Implement mitigation measures against emerging business risks.

People & Culture Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments to drive innovation and accountability.

  • Participate in company projects and contribute to team success.

  • Resolve interpersonal or project-related conflicts constructively.

  • Communicate resource needs to supervisors to enhance team performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics, Real Estate Management, or related field.

  • Student membership in the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya is an advantage.

  • Diploma in Technical Education (Building, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical) is a plus.

  • Additional certifications in building maintenance or facilities management preferred.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in building operations and maintenance.
