ICT Assistant II (System Administrator)-

Job Vacancies at University of Embu

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C- (minus) aggregate/DIV III and a Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution. In addition, they must;

• Have at least three (3) years’ experience in system administration in a busy ICT environment; and
• Have knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.

A relevant Higher Diploma will be an added advantage.

ICT Assistant II (Network Administrator)

Job Vacancies at University of Embu

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C- (minus) aggregate/DIV III, and a Diploma in Information Technology, or Telecommunications or its equivalent from a recognized institution. In addition, they must;

• Have at least three (3) years’ experience in Networks Administration role within a busy ICT environment;
• Have certifications such as Network Administration certifications (CCNA/HP, N+), or Windows Administration Certification (MCSE, MCSA) or LINUX certification, or IT Service Management (ITIL, ISO 20000); and
• Demonstrate understanding of networking protocols (i.e, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• A relevant Higher Diploma will be an added advantage.

Technician IV (Chemistry)

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C- (minus) or KCE DIV III aggregate and a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or a relevant area from a recognized institution. In addition, they must;

• Have at least three (3) year’s relevant work experience as a Technician or comparable position preferably in an institution of higher learning;
• Demonstrate ability to maintain laboratory equipment; Knowledge Transforms
• Be able to supervise students during practical sessions; and
• Have evidence of computer literacy.
• Registration with a professional body will be an added advantage.

Assistant Maintenance Officer

Job Vacancies at University of Embu

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C- (minus) or KCE DIV III aggregate and a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Building and Construction or a relevant area from a recognized institution.

In addition, they must:

• Have at least five (5) year’s relevant work experience supervising buildings and construction projects;
• Be proficient in using relevant computer applications and construction equipment; and
• Demonstrate technical capacity, communication and problem solving skills and diligence in executing tasks.

Registration with the Institute of Clerk of Works- Kenya/Site Supervisor with the National
Construction Authority will be an added advantage.

ECDE Teacher, Baby Day Care Centre

Job Vacancies at University of Embu

Applicants must be holders of at least KCSE C- (minus) or KCE Div III, and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) from a recognized institution. In addition, they must:

• Have at least three (3) years relevant post qualification work experience.
• Have evidence of computer literacy; and
• Have First-aid training.

Applicants with a Certificate in Child Care and Protection and experience in handling children with special needs will have an added advantage.
