Glovo, one of the world’s fastest-growing delivery platforms, is expanding its legal team and looking for a Lead Lawyer for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Based in Nairobi, this full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to combine law, business, and innovation in a rapidly evolving tech environment.
Your Mission
As the SSA Lead Lawyer, you’ll be the legal backbone for Glovo’s operations across the region. You’ll collaborate closely with local SSA teams and the Head of Legal for Africa, managing the day-to-day legal needs that come with running a dynamic, multinational platform.
Key responsibilities include:

Drafting, reviewing, and analyzing commercial agreements.

Providing legal advice on issues such as privacy, labor law, compliance, and regulated products.

Managing corporate governance policies and risk assessments.

Coordinating with external law firms and internal business units to ensure smooth operations.

Supporting due diligence, reporting, and special projects across multiple countries.

What You Bring to the Role
Glovo is looking for a seasoned legal professional with:

7+ years of experience in corporate legal practice or within a major law firm.

At least 3 years in an in-house corporate environment, ideally within tech, e-commerce, or multinational settings.

Proven expertise in commercial, consumer, antitrust, and labor law.

Fluency in English, Arabic, and French — additional languages are an advantage.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
