Marriott Hotels is offering an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join its Nairobi operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage service areas. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and monitoring service activities while ensuring full compliance with Marriott’s brand standards, operating procedures, and food & beverage policies.
A key responsibility is maintaining exceptional service quality that consistently exceeds guest expectations. The manager will oversee staffing levels, productivity planning, and operational efficiency based on forecasted business volumes. Working closely with the marketing team, the role also supports the development of promotions and collateral designed to drive outlet sales and profitability.
In addition, the Food & Beverage Manager will prepare annual budgets and capital expenditure proposals, manage training programs, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and brand standards. Continuous review of guest feedback is essential to identify service gaps and implement corrective actions that enhance overall guest satisfaction.
This position requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high service standards across all food and beverage outlets.
Key Requirements:

Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management (degree is an added advantage)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hotel

Strong understanding of food safety management systems

Computer literacy; MICROS system knowledge is an advantage

Proven people management, training, and budgeting skills
