Job Purpose
The Finance Officer will assist in implementing accounting standards and laws while ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting. The role involves supporting the preparation of audited financial statements, reconciling data, and maintaining the integrity of financial information across systems.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and financial data.

Provide technical support on accounting and reporting matters.

Assist in preparing audited financial statements and audit schedules.

Reconcile general ledger files with third-party systems and resolve discrepancies.

Perform trial balance checks and monthly ledger reconciliations.

Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and variance reports.

Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Represent the Finance Department on project teams to support new systems and process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in an accounting or finance environment.
Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
