Field Representative – Kilifi

Job objective :
Field Representative at Cassava Kenya to oversee the day-to-day operations of Cassava Kenya’s farming and harvesting activities in Kilifi County. Candidates must comply with the proper reporting and guidelines set by the company. The field Agent will act as a liaison between farmers and the operations department to ensure that Agricultural activities are conducted as per the company’s expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Farm Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular farm visits to different farmers across Kilifi County.
- To establish and manage a rotary farm with multiple crops within a small acreage. Planning and supervision of cassava harvesting as per the company’s demand, ensuring quality and following harvesting guidelines.
- Relationships with farmers. Through the supervision of cassava farms and nurseries being established.
Processing Responsibilities.
- Managing the production/Processing of cassava bi products i.e, Snacks
- Meeting daily production targets of specific snacks and foods we produce
- Keeping records of products produced as per company guidelines
Reporting responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all farming activities on a daily basis
- Understand company’s Rules and Guidelines
Qualifications
- Proof of knowledge of cassava as a crop
- Able to run various projects at the same time
- Time management
- Management and Planning skills
