Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you will:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Monitor cardiac and hemodynamic parameters and report any significant changes to physicians.

Assist physicians during emergency procedures such as intubations and line insertions.
-
Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation based on prescribed protocols.

Perform timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient progress.

Administer medications accurately, especially inotropic infusions, ensuring safety and precision.

Support patients on hemodialysis and manage enteral feeding as per clinical guidelines.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies, performing CPR and other life-saving interventions.

Maintain high standards of infection prevention, safety, and equipment maintenance.

Mentor junior nurses and nursing students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
To qualify, candidates must have:

A Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from a recognized institution.

Valid registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Proven experience and strong knowledge of evidence-based critical care practices.
