The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) is seeking a Senior Manager in Financial Inclusion and Innovation within its Bank Supervision Department. About the Role
The Senior Manager will play a key role in developing and reviewing regulatory frameworks that promote financial inclusion for CBK-licensed institutions. You will advise on emerging innovations and ensure that regulatory policies are aligned with global and local best practices. Collaboration, leadership, and a deep understanding of financial systems are essential to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Developing policies, guidelines, and regulations for financial inclusion.

Advising on emerging financial innovations, including disruptive technologies.

Coordinating regulatory impact assessments to evaluate new reforms.

Leading consultations and forums with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitoring implementation of financial inclusion initiatives and reporting outcomes.

Supporting CBK’s participation in national, regional, and international innovation initiatives.

Reviewing licenses for non-bank financial institutions and updating relevant platforms.

Overseeing surveys such as the Annual Innovation Survey and Bi-Annual MSME Credit Access Survey.

Leading and mentoring staff, ensuring adherence to CBK policies and succession management.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, ICT, Project Management, Engineering, Insurance, Law, Finance, or related field.

Master’s degree (MBA, MSc, MA) is an advantage.

Professional qualifications in finance, banking, accounting, ICT, or project management are a plus.

Minimum six years of relevant experience, with at least two in a supervisory role.
