The intern will be supervised by the Head of Finance and collaborate closely with the ICT/Procurement and HR teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Intern, you will support UNDP’s financial operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
1. Supporting Operational Strategy Implementation

Ensure financial processes comply with UN and UNDP regulations

Assist in preparing work plans and financial reports
-
Contribute to financial analysis and documentation
2. Conducting Research and Workflow Analysis
-
Review and analyze the Finance Unit’s processes to propose efficiency improvements
-
Strengthen data integrity for the Pay Cycle process
-
Liaise with other UN agencies regarding financial and payment matters
3. Providing Accounting and Administrative Support

Process financial documents including vouchers, invoices, and supporting records
-
Maintain an effective internal control system for expenditure tracking
-
Post transactions accurately in the Quantum system
-
Follow up with internal teams regarding payment-related inquiries
-
Assist in monitoring financial dashboards and program team support

Maintain proper filing and documentation systems

Required Qualifications
Applicants must be:

Pursuing a BCom, Business Administration (Accounting), CPA/ACCA, or similar program
