Manager–Outbound Operations (M/F) at Africa Global Logistics: A High-Impact Role in Automotive Logistics

ANT Automotive Logistics has established itself as a leading specialist in end-to-end automotive logistics across East Africa. Since launching operations in Kenya in 2017 and Uganda in 2018, the company has become a trusted partner for seamlessly transporting new vehicles from the port of Mombasa to their final destinations. Their comprehensive service portfolio includes port and CFS management, customs clearance, inland transportation, storage, pre-delivery inspection, and final delivery.

The Mission: Lead, Coordinate, and Deliver Excellence

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of ANT and oversee operational activities at the Global Logistics Centre (GLC), as well as all CFAO-related logistics operations. Your mission involves:

1. Team Leadership & Daily Operations

  • Guiding the outbound operations team at both GLC and CFAO sites.

  • Overseeing day-to-day workflow and performance of assigned staff.

2. Strengthening Operational Structures

  • Helping build a strong operational framework with standardized processes.

  • Ensuring the team has the right expertise, tools, and organization to deliver best-in-class service.

3. Efficient Order Handling & Customer Coordination

  • Planning and managing operational inputs required for timely clearance and handling of customer orders.

  • Coordinating activities among ANT operators to ensure smooth delivery of all shipments.

  • Monitoring service quality and addressing challenges proactively.

  • Preparing accurate operational reports—daily, weekly, and monthly.

  • Coordinating approved service suppliers to guarantee timely delivery.

4. File & Documentation Management

  • Ensuring all customer files—both physical and digital—are properly documented, updated, and archived.

  • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company and statutory regulations.

  • Following up on customer inquiries and supporting credit control activities.

5. Invoice Processing & Cost Control

  • Receiving and verifying invoices from ports, warehouses, transporters, and accessory suppliers.

  • Validating invoices against tariff cards or purchase orders prior to approval.

  • Reviewing service invoices for accuracy and compliance.

6. Logistics Planning & Shipment Tracking

  • Planning and aligning logistics activities based on customer needs and shipment timelines.

  • Tracking goods arriving at ports, in clearance, or in bonded warehouses.

7. Reporting

  • Producing timely and accurate reports to support management decisions.

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A Business-related degree

  • A Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a busy logistics environment
