Main Purpose of the Role
The TVET Trainer will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding trainees in Counselling Psychology. This includes lesson delivery, practical sessions, trainee assessment, and preparing students for both internal and external examinations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

Deliver theoretical and practical lessons aligned with the curriculum and occupational standards.

Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and lecture notes.

Plan and oversee practical sessions for assigned units.

Prepare and validate internal examinations.

Conduct continuous trainee assessments and maintain accurate academic records.

Supervise trainees on industrial attachments.

Support students in acquiring practical competencies ahead of external KNEC/CDACC exams.

Enter grades into the ERP system and ensure compliance with exam preparation schedules.

Mentor students, invigilate exams, and monitor class attendance.

Attend all scheduled teaching hours and provide academic support as needed.
Qualifications Required
Applicants must have:

A Degree or Diploma in Counselling Psychology or a related technical field.

Ability to teach core units in counselling psychology.
-
A Certificate in Pedagogy or be registered with TVETA as a Trainer.

Knowledge of CDACC/KNEC examination processes.
-
At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
