Save the Children Kenya is offering an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in international development. The organization is currently hiring a Programme Development Quality and Impact (PDQI) – New Business Development (NBD) Intern to join its dynamic team in Nairobi.
This internship provides a valuable platform to learn about proposal development, donor engagement, and programme coordination, while contributing to Save the Children’s mission to improve the lives of children across Kenya and Madagascar.
🌱 Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Programme Development, the intern will support day-to-day operations of the New Business Development (NBD) team. Responsibilities include:

Assisting in proposal writing and coordination for new funding opportunities.

Supporting donor engagement strategies and maintaining partner communications.

Managing business development trackers and data systems.

Participating in team meetings and learning sessions to build professional skills.
🎓 Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, or related fields.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint (an added advantage).
