I&M Bank, a leading financial institution in East Africa, is looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join its analytics and digital transformation team. Job Purpose
The Lead Data Analyst will design, develop, and deliver insightful dashboards, reports, and performance analytics that shape strategic decisions. The successful candidate will lead a team of analysts, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities:

Translate business objectives into actionable data strategies and analytical priorities.

Collaborate with the Head of Advanced Analytics to define KPIs and measurement frameworks.

Recommend improvements in data infrastructure and quality assurance frameworks.
Analytical & Operational Duties:

Lead the design and delivery of dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports.

Manage data pipelines and ensure timely, reliable reporting.

Conduct ad hoc analyses and root-cause investigations for key business initiatives.

Oversee analysts’ performance, task allocation, and workflow efficiency.

Review data outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency across deliverables.

Support onboarding and training for new data analysts.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.

At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.

Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is essential.

Advanced data visualization and problem-solving skills.

Certifications in Data Analytics, BI tools, or Data Warehousing are highly preferred.
