The Coca-Cola Company, one of the world’s leading beverage producers, is seeking an experienced Control and Automation Specialist to join its dynamic Nairobi team. This full-time position is ideal for engineers passionate about automation, systems optimization, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining plant automation systems, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring equipment runs at its best performance level.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist Control & Automation (C&A) support to production teams and guide troubleshooting efforts.

Ensure lines operate at rated speeds and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Participate in both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, while documenting all work through the ERP system.

Lead problem-solving efforts, escalate complex issues to OEMs, and share learnings across regional teams.

Uphold high safety and risk management standards, including 5S practices and disaster recovery planning.

Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) automation standards.

Support new projects and product development trials while adhering to change control procedures.

Coach and mentor artisans and operators to build technical capability and promote autonomous maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in controls, automation, or electrical and electronics engineering.

Hands-on experience with packaging machines.
-
Strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and ERP systems (MSD 365).
-
FMCG industry experience will be an added advantage.
