About the Role

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, oversee program excellence, and ensure strong financial and governance standards across the organization. This role offers a platform to shape policy, expand partnerships, and empower the next generation of Kenyan conservation leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of KWT’s Strategic Plan, positioning the Trust as Africa’s premier predator conservation organization by 2035.

  • Drive program expansion across the Greater Mara and beyond.

  • Spearhead fundraising efforts, engaging foundations, corporates, and major donors.

  • Represent KWT in national and international conservation forums.

  • Champion community-led conservation and advocate for policy reforms supporting wildlife coexistence.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering an inclusive and learning-driven culture.

  • Oversee financial management, accountability, and governance in line with KWT’s mission.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Advanced degree in Management, Leadership, or Conservation.

  • 10+ years’ experience in wildlife conservation, with proven strategic and organizational leadership.

  • Track record of successful fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong knowledge of Kenya’s conservation landscape, especially predator conservation.

  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and team-building skills.

  • Commitment to sustainability, integrity, and community empowerment.
