In this role, you’ll identify and develop new opportunities that help governments, organizations, and communities prepare for and adapt to climate challenges across Africa.
🔎 Lead Generation and Market Intelligence
You’ll actively scout new opportunities using tools like DevelopmentAid, focusing on projects related to climate risk, resilience, and adaptation. Your work will help VIDA stay ahead of industry trends and align its mission with the latest donor priorities and funding streams.
🤝 Building Strategic Partnerships
As a vital bridge between VIDA and its partners, you’ll maintain strong relationships with donors, NGOs, and engineering consultancies working in the climate space. You’ll prepare outreach materials, manage communications, and support the development of collaborative proposals that drive tangible impact.
📈 Proposal Development & Pipeline Management
VIDA’s growth depends on sharp business development skills — and you’ll be central to that success. By tracking climate opportunities, writing technical and financial proposals, and coordinating with VIDA’s internal teams, you’ll help bring innovative climate solutions to life.
💼 Who You Are
You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in environmental science, climate studies, or a related field. You bring at least two years of business development experience and possess strong knowledge of climate risk, adaptation, and resilience.
