In today’s development landscape, transparency and accountability in funding are more crucial than ever. At the heart of this process lies the Grants Officer, a key figure ensuring that donor resources are effectively managed and used to drive real impact.
At Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK), the Grants Officer plays an integral role in strengthening financial oversight and supporting the organization’s mission to promote reproductive health and rights across Kenya.
The position involves a wide range of responsibilities — from drafting and reviewing grant proposals to tracking budgets and ensuring full compliance with donor guidelines. Working hand in hand with program and finance teams, the officer ensures that every shilling is accounted for and that reporting meets international standards.
Beyond financial management, this role requires a proactive communicator who can serve as a bridge between program staff, donors, and stakeholders. They play a critical part in maintaining trust and ensuring that funding partners see tangible results.
Candidates for this position are expected to have at least five years of experience in grant management and donor compliance, ideally within donor-funded projects such as USAID or FCDO initiatives. A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required, with a master’s degree considered an added advantage.
With up to 50% travel expected, this role offers a dynamic work environment for professionals passionate about accountability, impact, and social transformation.
