Safaricom Kenya is seeking a passionate and highly analytical Research Manager to take charge of end-to-end research initiatives that power the company’s strategic decisions. The role calls for a dynamic professional with at least six years of market research experience, combining both technical knowledge and storytelling skills to turn data into strategy.
Key Responsibilities
The Research Manager will oversee quantitative and qualitative research projects from start to finish — from designing surveys and focus groups to analyzing results and presenting insights that shape business strategies.
You will:

Lead research design and execution while collaborating with product managers and innovation teams.

Identify customer needs, brand perceptions, and market trends to guide product development.

Monitor competitor activity and performance across products and services.

Utilize data analytics tools like SPSS, Power BI, and Excel to uncover insights.

Apply AI-driven techniques for predictive analysis and customer segmentation.

Manage external research agencies and ensure project delivery within deadlines.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.

Minimum 6 years’ experience in market research or monitoring & evaluation (M&E).
