Accounts Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Springboard Capital Ltd is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant to support the company’s finance department in maintenance of books of accounts and preparation of reports for management decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Management Accounts.
  • Perform Monthly Reconciliation of Account Ledger Balances.
  • Perform Bank Reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounting schedules that lead to period balance recognition in the general ledger.
  • Reconciliations of Commission Received from the Underwriters.
  • Prepare premium and claims trend analysis and exceptional reports
  • Analyze the claims outstanding report as required.
  • Support in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements at the end of the financial reporting period.
  • Support in the preparation of a detailed Annual budget that is aligned with the Strategy.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Commerce-Finance or Accounting
  • At least CPA Part 3, Section 6.

Insurance Business Development Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

Springboard Capital Ltd is seeking to hire an Insurance Business Development Officer reporting to Insurance Team Lead. The main role will be to support the business through marketing and sale of insurance products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out insurance marketing activities.
  • Ensure effective customer service to insurance clients.
  • Support in following up for insurance renewals.
  • Placement of cover and obtaining insurance confirmations.
  • Review of insurance cover confirmation documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Giving accurate and complete quotation of insurance premiums.
  • Ensure maintenance of customer information in both computerized and physical format.
  • Ensuring timely payment of insurance premiums.
  • Ensure company policies have been effectively communicated to clients.
  • Advise clients on insurance related issues.
  • Updating Insurance data to the insurance register
  • Preparing insurance memos for premium collection.
  • Any other duties may be assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of commerce (Insurance/Marketing ) or related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 1- 2 years relevant working experience especially in insurance marketing.
  • Proficiency in ICT with MS Office and internet ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

ICT Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

The position will provide technical support to the Organization’s systems, applications and infrastructure, as well as plan and implement a sound maintenance system for the Organization’s ICT resources.

The ICT Officer will be based at the HQ, and will be reporting to the ICT Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the ICT systems and services at Springboard.
  • Establish and manage user accounts on core business platforms.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain the computer systems and the organization network.
  • Provide ICT related support and guidance to staff, including support on backing up and restoring/recovery of files and information.
  • Ensure security of data, databases and physical and virtual ICT components.
  • Ensure that the ERP system and technology platforms are accessible for business process execution.
  • Liaise with the internet provider to assure internet availability at all times.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of all ICT infrastructure including servers, network connections and office mail.
  • Implementation and configuration of hardware, software, systems and networks within the Organization.
  • Train staff on new technologies and on identified user needs.
  • Conduct ICT maintenance activities using an established ICT checklist.
  • Ensure network enhancement and reliability, as well as network security.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults and provide solutions to technical and application problems.
  • Maintain inventory and activity records for periodic audits.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports and information for decision making.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information & Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage, including:
  • Networking & Systems: CompTIA Network+, CCNA,Windows Server, Cybersecurity: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent, Databases: Microsoft SQL Server
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in ICT support, systems administration, or ICT infrastructure—preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Proven hands-on experience in ERP systems administration, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other enterprise financial systems.
  • Network and server administration.
  • Helpdesk/user support.
  • ICT change management and technical documentation.
  • Backup, disaster recovery, and system security.
  • Good understanding of ICT controls, regulatory compliance, and data protection practices in a financial environment.
  • Knowledge of programming in AL language and JavaScript will be an added advantage, particularly for ERP customization and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, integrity, communication, and teamwork.
