Customer Service Attendant

JOB PURPOSE

To provide exceptional customer service at the petrol station by efficiently attending to customers, handling fuel dispensing, processing payments, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fuel Dispensing: Accurately and safely pump fuel into vehicles as requested by customers.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit.
  • Vehicle Assistance: Perform basic checks like oil levels, tire pressure, and clean windshields when requested.
  • Payment Handling: Process cash, card, or mobile money payments using POS systems and issue receipts.
  • Sales Support: Promote and upsell station products such as lubricants, car accessories, and car wash services.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a tidy forecourt, restrooms, and pump areas; follow safety protocols for handling fuel and other hazardous materials.
  • Stock Management: Restock shelves with items like oils, and other station products.
  • Reporting: Balance the cash drawer at the end of shifts and report any discrepancies or equipment issues.
  • Ensure good merchandising/display of products range as per procedure. Ensure that products on display are well stocked, clean and well-arranged according to the described lubes rack merchandising order.
  • To uphold sound cash management practices at the forecourt as per procedure. Customer attendant is mandated to always keep a specified amount of cash during the day and at night and surrender sales cash regularly as per the cash drop register requirement and procedure.
  • Implementation of operational functions delegated by the station supervisor and Station Manager.

Educational Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Education: KCSE (Form 4) certificate is required.
  • Experience: Prior customer service or retail experience is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong communication, basic math for handling payments, attention to detail, and physical fitness for outdoor work.

Technical Sales Representative

Our client is looking forward to recruiting a Technical Sales Representative. The TSR will be expected to evaluate new business opportunities and promote the client value proposition of technologies, products, and services in line with the business strategy and marketing initiatives.

The TSR will act as the expert of the segment/s when it comes to product performance and value delivered at the customers

The role will offer application support & training across all Client’s segments. Picture of success will be through coordinated service calls and requisite reports to each customer and application area to deliver high adhesive solutions to retain, grow, and acquire new customers while delivering sustainable value addition to the customers. It will involve building a healthy working relationship with the distributor to build capacity through training and forecast. He will rely on strong market intelligence skills to understand both market needs and competitor activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Profitably grows market share through acquiring new business at new customers and new applications at existing accounts

  • Meets annual budget growth objectives by closing qualified new business opportunities.
  • Maintains a healthy new business pipeline of new opportunities in line with the annual growth plans
  • Skilfully utilizes the client’s sales process to find, qualify and close new business.
  • Sells at optimum value and margin to meet agreed profit targets.

Maintain business in existing accounts

  • Develop trusting and productive relationship with the key decision makers in the account. Can develop relationship maps and maintain in SFDC under contact records.
  • Understands market trends and offers solutions to customer’s ensuring expectations are met.
  • Collaborating with the customers to review the business performance during formal business review meetings.
  • Gathers business intelligence to understand possible threats and mitigates the same.
  • Collaborating with global teams to grow and maintain the business segment (s).

Manages activities related to identifying new business opportunities:

  • Is technically independent and competent enough to manage running own technical demonstrations- and able to produce technical reports.
  • Manages own time by focusing efforts on the blue-chip opportunities.
  • “Opens the door” at potential customers, develops and explains the client value proposition.
  • Helps customers to select appropriate products for various applications. Ensures customers are fully aware of value delivered.
  • Evaluates and establishes relationships with potential partners, such as application equipment providers, OEMs, Industry associations to achieve a deeper market penetration.
  • Evaluates customer requirements within the overall context of the market, i.e. applicability of similar products and projects for other customers.
  • Support opportunities related to regular business and support successful closure

Develop and improve the value offering

  • Capture customer requirements and help translate them into value propositions.
  • Collect data supporting value propositions at customers Monitor and document the offered values in continued business
  • Ensures customer projects are on time and on budget.

Work on Product Portfolio:

  • Manage product program in the segment and define the GOTO product portfolio
  • Completes detailed customer requirements with appropriate business to ensure understanding of requirements and CTQ’s as necessary for R&D / Technical Service
  • Capture trends from industry and translate them into new product or service developments and innovative offerings.
  • Propose and lead suggested price positioning in the segment in cooperation with business manager. Interaction and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Seeks input from Strategic Account Manager, Business colleagues and sales to develop segment strategy
  • Partners with all stakeholders to establish priorities, service levels and expected deliverables.
  • Partners with Marketing, Technical Department and R&D to ensure voice of the customer is received and acknowledged in the client R&D pipeline and all related internal support.
  • Expertly communicates across the business on all internal and external activities, in line with the strategic plan. Provides regular updates to all stakeholders
  • Is aware of the forecasting

GEOGRAPHY AND MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g., provides coaching, assigns work, ensure monthly/weekly plan is duly done and updated,

TYPICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical and Process Engineering Marketing or Technical.
  • Proven track record of successful market development with a minimum of 2 years technical sales experience.
  • Strong driver for results and success. Shows passion for the role.
  • Expert in the value selling process with good understanding of B-2-B selling process.
  • Ability to harness and manage important business relationship.
  • Outstanding technicsl, commercial and communication skills at all levels of contacts: Executive, Middle Management & Production floor.
  • Understanding of basic financial metrics such as Contribution and Gross margin, Margins and Working Capital
  • Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical capabilities linked to good strategical thinking skills.
  • Significant industry standing. Considered an expert in technical Adhesives. Has a technical background experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing set up

Financial Controller (FC)

JOB PURPOSE

The financial controller (FC) is responsible for ensuring that the accounting operations of an organization run smoothly. They will oversee the accounting function of the company, ensuring that accounting records are kept appropriately and that reported results comply with accounting standards and relevant legislation. The holder of the role will ensure that the finance team operates within a robust control environment and will also be the principle point of contact for external auditors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Inventory Accounting.
  • Coordinating month-end and year-end closure processes.
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly (IFRS) financial statements.
  • Coordinating with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
  • Coordinating and leading the preparation of the budgets and financial forecasts, preparing monthly financial statements and other periodic financial reports.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws, tax provisions and relevant industry and financial regulations.
  • Other tasks as shall be required by the business.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • A first degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or any relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. ACCA/CPA.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Analytical and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
