The position requires an aggressive self-driven individual with passion to make positive impact in people’s lives and to achieve the set targets within the stipulated timelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Identifying, engaging and building customer relationships.
- Product presentation, negotiation and closing deals.
- Meeting sales targets and objectives of revenue growth.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and reporting
- Staying informed of industry trends, competitor knowledge and sales techniques
- Collect accurate client information and register them on the approved onboarding platforms.
- Uphold dignity during funeral service support and member onboarding
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Attend promotional events and other marketing related functions.
Key requirements and qualifications
- Minimum of KCSE Certificate – Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Community Development, or Business-related field is an added advantage
- Must be between 21-45 years old
- Must have a working experience of at least 6 months in field sales preferably in insurance, community-based programs, cooperative marketing, funeral cover, microinsurance, or
welfare-related sales. - Fluency in Swahili, local dialects and a good command of basic English.
- Computer literacy – Ability to use a smartphone, WhatsApp, and basic mobile apps for registration.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales tracking apps will be an added advantage.
- Well known and trusted in the local community and active in local welfare groups, religious circles, or chamas
Profile
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
- Ability to explain benefits of funeral cover to potential members
- Willingness to work under targets and move within the assigned region
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence and maturity (especially in funerals and sensitive matters)
- Strong reporting discipline and integrity
- Ability to handle rejections professionally
- Good public speaking skills
