ICT Officer – 3 Years Contract – Renewable
Position Scope
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the ICT Officer at NSSF SACCO Society Limited will be responsible for providing day to day ICT operational services and give technical support on the Core Banking system and alternative Sacco service delivery channels.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintaining of all computer hardware and software in the Society.
- Functional support of the core banking system and interdependent interface in ensuring staff productivity is not affected.
- Office Computer Network maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Collaborating with development teams in ensuring smooth deployment of applications.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as systems updates, patches, backups and preventive maintenance.
- Timely liaising with service providers to resolve technical issues i.e. ATM connectivity, Internet, downtime in line with ICT policy.
- Monitoring of ATM Bridge, Mobile Banking to ensure continuous and optimal ATM network & Mobile banking services.
- Maintaining, supporting and updating of the Members Portal.
- Ensuring resolution of ATM issues i.e. PIN requests blocking of lost cards by liaising with the bank.
- Providing delightful customer experience internally and externally.
- Monitoring SMS system and management of the SMS float account.
- Monitoring and managing of the Mobile banking float account
- Monitoring the Systems Security of the Sacco which includes, Email, internet, network as well as port connections.
- Carrying out daily system backup both on-site and offsite and conduct regular test and reviews.
- Managing and monitoring firewall in ensuring the Society’s cyber security and vulnerabilities are maintained at a low.
- Securing and maintaining infrastructure and systems in line with Society’s guidelines and standards i.e. web application scan.
- Implementing authorized user rights and privileges.
- Data Center / server room management – Offering support in ensuring all servers are performing optimally, running latest software patches well secured and hardened.
- Implementing the IT Disaster and recovery plan in collaboration with the ICT Manager.
- Performing any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies: –
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
- Cisco Certified Network Associate
- 3 years’ relevant work experience
- Must have knowledge in Microsoft Systems and Unix Administration.
- Must have knowledge in Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking
- Must have knowledge in Server and Network Administration
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database Management
- Must have experience in IT Support and Troubleshooting
- Must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Must demonstrate professionalism and accountability
- Must have a customer-centric mindset
- Must demonstrate a high level of integrity
