Are you passionate about Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, or Solar work? NITA, in partnership with the Danish Government (DI East Africa), is offering fully funded scholarships under the Kenya TVET Project 2025! Scholarships at National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)
Whether you’re a form four leaver or a skilled worker without formal certification, this is your chance to gain skills, get certified, and grow your career.
Do you want to acquire skills for a work life with high job safety and to work with modern and growing companies in Building Construction in:
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Solar Sectors
If yes, this is for you: Kenya TVET Project 2025 by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA), in partnership with the Danish Government Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), is here to support you in realizing your dream.
Duration:
- Regular programs for form four leavers is for two terms in the institution and 3 months on a mandatory Industrial Attachment.
- Skill upgrading program for the workers already working in the industry but lack formal training and certification, is for 3 months in the institution and 3 months on Industrial Attachment. Selection of beneficiaries under this category will be done by the Kenya Building Construction, Timber & Furniture Industries Employees Union
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment for workers with professional experience but lack certificates
Training Centre: NITA Athi River
Intake: September 2025
Certification:
- National Skills Certificate II (NSC II) and
- Government Trade Tests – grade III/II/I
Industrial Attachment: All trainees will be placed on a three-month mandatory Industrial Attachment through the project partnership.
Fees: Tuition & Exam Fees are fully funded
Target group
- Youth artisans (fundis) between 18 and 35 years, working in the building and construction sites but lack formal college education and certificates
- Form four leavers with a D- and above grade and have an interest in Carpentry, Plumbing, Solar
and Electrical - Ladies are encouraged to apply
